We are classically trained artists, having studied the arts of film photography, painting, sculpture, illustration, and design. Corrie & I both had the amazing opportunity to be personally mentored by world renowned fine art photographers (Henry Horenstein) & wedding photographers (Sam Hurd). I graduated with my BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design, while Corrie graduated with her BFA in Graphic Design.
Our paths crossed in 2011, when we were both new to the Charlotte area, each looking for a talented artist to team up with to pursue our dream of Wedding Photography. We had both previously worked for talented wedding photography companies, and felt qualified, experienced, and excited to pursue the venture of creating our own company.
Corrie and I had a vision to create a boutique style company centered around capturing the beauty, emotion, and love of wedding and portrait imagery in a creative, artistic, and elegant fashion. To us, “Ellé” invokes the sophistication, femininity, and artistry of our work, and we consider ourself image makers in all aspects, hence, “Imaging”.
We love our clients, and we love taking care of their needs, desires, and expectations. Our job goes beyond capturing the beauty of your Wedding Day. We understand the stress of coordinating a wedding, and we are committed to taking any and all worries off of your shoulders. Our agenda is to ensure you have a joyful wedding experience, before, during, and after. We can, and have, served as unofficial wedding coordinators, day of planners, and personal assistants. Corrie also happens to be fantastic at adjusting ties, pinning corsages, creating the perfect bow on the back of your dress :).
Our work is not for everyone. Clients who choose us are looking for modern, photo documentary coverage as well as creative, imaginative portraiture. Our Brides & Grooms desire the capture of real emotion, events, and interactions as they unfold. We do not ask you to stop and smile at us during your first dance. We capture the love between the two of you as you smile, laugh, hold each other close, and twirl around the dance floor, in the joy of being newlyweds.
